Join Charleston Kayak Company and Charleston Waterkeeper for a unique experience on the beautiful and historic Ashley River. As part of the Revel on the River weekend, this paddle will highlight the Ashley River’s most historic and ecological valuable stretch with naturalist discussion by your guides at Charleston Kayak Company, and your Charleston Waterkeeper, Andrew J. Wunderley, Esq. We will also be doing some river clean-up along the way, because hey, that’s who we are!
Experience the Ashley River in an intimate way few others ever do. Paddle along abandon rice fields and archeological sites. See Egrets, Herons, Rails and maybe an American Alligator. Connect with a river that looks the same today as it did 200 years ago while learning about the issues that threaten its future. We promise you’ll come away with a strong appreciation of the Ashley River’s special place in our community and why it must be fully protected.
After the paddle/clean-up, stay and hang out for snacks and beverages on-site at the beautiful Inn at Middleton Place along the bluffs of the Ashley River. Meet the diverse community of individuals and organizations that share our love for the Ashley River and are working to ensure future generations can enjoy the wealth of opportunities the river offers our community.
Book today and reserve your spot for this unique and intimate experience on the historic Ashley River. 100% of the procedes will support Charleston Waterkeeper’s work to protect and restore the Ashley River for fishing and paddling.
Don’t Forget the Party on Saturday at The Bend for a great time, and chance to meet the diverse community of individuals and organizations that share our love for the Ashley River and are working to ensure future generations can enjoy the wealth of opportunities the river offers our community.
